- We have very carefully crafted patent applications pending, and believe in enforcing our valuable intellectual property.
- This much harder than it looks. FakeTV is not "just a random light source"-- real television signals are not random, they are highly characteristic. FakeTV is the result of much careful research and development. We had to design special test instruments to gather the color and intensity variation data from real television, because our professional lab instruments were not sensitive enough. It took a LOT of time to come up with suitable algorithms to emulate the TV characteristics, in all the different sorts of programming that you see. And suitably nuanced. We met the cost target through very careful DFM with our very capable strategic partner, Xenso. We used our favorite optical CAD system, ZEMAX, to design the diffuser.
- Our manufacturing partner, Xenso, is a high quality, low cost-basis supplier, and the FakeTV design is highly optimized for low cost and high quality. It is unlikely you could independently produce a television simulator of comparable quality for less.
